A soft breeze filtered through the lands of Kahya. The scent of grapes, water, and a recent rain could be caught upon this wind that drifted in and out of the trees. There was were a crimson mare stood. A single streak of white ran down the front portion of her flaxen mane which flittered slightly in the breeze. Her magnificent arabian dial lifted to the wind, catching in the scents and sights of the lands of Kahya. 'This place.. It is so full of peace, a place I can try to regain my memory, a place to call my own, a home.. I want it.' The ice blue orbs of the mare scanned the terrain with great interest. A long intake of the crisp air resulted in a long sigh that fell from the equine's two toned nose. 'This land.. is now mine.'
The newly appointed 'Leader' of Ahmawntreah smirked with pleasure. 'But of course I shall be a kind ruler.. as long as no one gets in my way. The only one that shall ever get my respect, my loyalty.. Kachina. Upon her return I shall bow down. But until that day.. These lands are mine.' Her smirk spread across her maw.
Her flaxen mane and tail seemed to be on fire. Her very presence screamed powerful. The look deep within her eyes dared anyone to oppose her, approach her, annoy her. She adored the fact that her rank gave her immense power, it gave her a great thrill, the far away memory of her father, or so she guessed, now became clearer. The immense power that radiated off of him, the burning air around him, the lightning flash and white streak of hair left on Amaterasu. 'I have surpassed you father. If I ever cross you again, you shall not live to see my mother again.' The heat around the mares body flowed down around her, scorching the grasses beneath her ebon hooves. Her crimson ears flicked forward willing something, someone to approach her. Test her ability, test her power, test her social skills. A simple shake of her breathtakingly beautiful dial rid her of her strange thoughts. 'I will not sit here and delve into my past.'
The white streaked legs of the mare carried her forward as she finally decided to move. The flaming tassels whipped out around her as she floated into Kahya. As she inhaled her inner power fluxed. As she exhaled her mane and tail seemed to flare brighter with each out take of breath. The hoof prints of the mare were not simple indentions in the Earth, rather burnt circles trailing along behind her. It pleased the mare greatly that she held in her on body so much power. Her senses heightened, she could sense the minerals of the Earth, daring her to bend the metal straight out of the ground. The energy that flowed through the lands sang to her in it's own magical way, daring her to create a lightning storm that could wipe out an entire land mass. The heat of the summer air filled her nostrils, daring her to breath fire. But the calling deep within her was whispering in her ear. 'Heal, give life, help those that need it, the help only you can give in dire circumstances.' Her healing abilities although great, were used rarely. An equine had to be high in Amaterasu's mind to have her healing powers bestowed upon them. But that small whispering voice always told her to heal those around her, and she did. But when she did she made sure no one knew it was her. She was a secret healer.
The eyes of the mare took in the lands of Kahya, "My home." Her voice was a calm one, unsettling to some. The fiery mane and tail seemed to die down as she halted, becoming normal tassels once again. "I shall rule these lands. I shall be known as the leader, the ruler, the powerful one. I shall command the equines that enter my domain, if they do not wish to obaide by my voice, they shall leave." Her even tone drifted off into the dry air. 'I have a home,' her thoughts were happy, but at the same time saddened. 'But no one to be by my side, no one to care for me, no one to love me..' The mare shoke her head with anger. 'There is no time for such thoughts. No one loves me. I am destined to rule Ahmawntreah, and that is what I shall do.' Her Arabian dial lifted high and proud and with that she let out a long call, daring the equines of Ahmawntreah to approach her, to meet their ruler, but in that call there as a slight longing note. One had to listen carefully but it was there.
