The Story ||
The rocky ridge of the mountains, line the blue yonder. Their peaks stretching up and out, their mass stealing a great amount of topography. The edge of the earth and the ocean meet in a great roar. The waves smashed against the rocks until they were ground into the white sand that now lines the ocean. Emerald stalks run through the open meadows and water rushes down through the mountains.
Settlers wandered randomly through the realm, seeking out a land to live on. They stumbled onto this topography and the choice was obvious. The settlers soon started to build their wooden shacks. The small town grew from one building that the few settlers lived in, to a few houses and some stores. The settlers brought their families and the town grew slowly but surely. The word soon started to spread of the lush meadows, high peaks, sparkling lakes, and white beaches. The town's population continued to grow and started to double rapidly.
As settlers came they brought their farms which consisted of cows, chickens, turkeys, and horses. The horses were the most valuable due to how much they could do. They were transportation, their source of power in work, and eventually became entrainment. The workers enjoyed racing their stock on their off time, and with horse racing starting to become extremely popular all over America, they started to build Canterbury Downs. Soon after that, the wives of the city wanted to do something with their horses. They came up with the idea of barrel racing. With different ideas of what was fun and what was right, stables of all sorts started to pop up around the city.
The first stable started with Northgate Stables and eventually Elite Side Estates cropped up. The two stables competed against each other out of fun until someone got too serious. A competitor hired some boys to go and beat a rivals horse to death. When the horse found it was unknown who did it until a boy slipped up. After that the stables continued to compete but it was vicious.
Out of the situation that happened, the violence continued. Due to the rivalry of the two stables, people left and started other stables in spite of Northgate and Elite Side. Crimson Downs was created to help train horses more professionally for racing and Top Vale was created for western riders. White Haven was soon created for the older horses and Sweet Ridge was made to teach new riders and train young horses. With all the elite stables around in one town, it became very horse orientated place. People moved from all around the country to live here. People knew the stables were top rivals but they also know they have fabulous trainers and horses. As the population grew so did the stables and their residents. And with large stables came a bigger rivalry.
Every stable is against each other ultimately. People do get along with other people from different stables but there are always people who are frightfully competitive. So who do you want to fight for?
